We have used GH Construction for a number of projects to modernise our house in Widcombe and I thoroughly recommend them. Works undertaken include demolition of several walls to create more open spaces, construction of double doors, installation of steel beams, plastering, decoration and laying of wooden flooring. I really appreciate their clear pricing structure (I hate surprises) and also having tradesmen who haven’t overrun on time for the project! Happy to have GH in my house as they are courteous and clean up properly after completing works to a very high standard. I always felt updated on how things were going and there was a great channel of communication between us and the GH team.

We have used Gary and his team for a number of commercial jobs, including:
• Refit and build of our new brewery taproom bar which included assistance with design work, carpentry, plumbing and ancillary work. He has also provided plumbing services on a number of occasions – as a brewery, we are never far away from a plumbing issue, and Gary and his team have helped out on a number of occasions – sometimes on a very short-notice basis.
• Complete build and fit-out of a restaurant. This project took a building in a poor state of repair to complete ready-to-go restaurant including kitchen build, public areas including WCs, bar and associated beer dispense and plumbing, etc. He works with other contractors that installed electrics, air conditioning, etc.
In addition, I have used Gary for domestic work including building and carpentry work.
In all cases Gary and his team provide outstanding work with great communication. They are hardworking, reliable, conscientious, creative where creative thinking is needed, and overall a pleasure to work with and good value for money.

We recently contacted Gary for a quote to do some urgently needed floor tiling. He was with us within 30 minutes and agreed to complete the work within our demanding schedule. It was clear from the outset that Gary is a very experienced professional. The tiles needed to be raised to match the level of some existing parquet flooring. Gary achieved this using a combination of scree and the appropriate cement. He completed the three stages of scree, tiling and grouting over three successive days, meeting our challenging timescale at essentially zero notice! The work was flawless to our eyes. Nevertheless, Gary chose to point out a tiny widening of the spacing between two tiles that had happened as the cement dried overnight. He was prepared to replace it if we were not happy. Needless to say, this was not necessary. However, this demonstrates the quality of Gary’s work and his commitment to excellence. My wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending Gary and indeed have already done so to a number of friends.

Understood our requirements and explain what the job entailed and time scale with the proviso that if more problems were found once the full extent of the job was uncovered and started we would be informed and any price increase agreed. Thankfully all went well and the job was completed very efficiently within a day. Two minor issues were discovered with the under floor water pipe which we were informed and repaired immediately. The floor is now nice and solid and carried out to a good standard of workmanship and we were kept informed of progress throughout, very pleased with the outcome.
